There is no doubt that with the open-back tops have taken over every summer for the past couple of years since 2016. We’ve even seen open back inspired dresses on the runway such as Gucci by Tom Ford in his Spring/Summer 2004 collection.

Although open-backs seem like they may be most appropriate for the summer season, but you can also wear them in the winter with more toasty materials.

Fabrics such as ribbed knits with tie backs are not only lightweight but ideal for getting the perfect slit to show your back and provide airy designs. Colors such as lavender, crepe, cream, lilac, light blue, and black are perfect for the winter. These designs allow you to bring the hot summer looks into the cool winter.

Open-backs can also be layered with different sweaters, or cardigans over the top. You can add knit cardigans, buttoned sweaters or ribbed ones. These not only add layers and warmth, but give more of a winter touch to your look.
