Staying On Track & Having Organization

The most important part of anyone’s life for how they can maintain staying on track with routines, is by establishing some sort of planner, journal, or calendar. You can find fun journals that fit with your aesthetic on Amazon, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, Ross, and more! They don’t need to be expensive or big, but as long as they get the job done is all that matters. You can even download apps to track appointments, events, birthdays, exams, and upcoming deadlines. It’s all something everyone needs.
Going into 2022 with a new planner or journal can be a great way to start off the year right because you have 12 months of no plans, no idea what’s going to happen, and it’s all so exciting to see what you’re going to accomplish. Life is full of surprises so be excited at what’s to come. Here are some ways you can stay organized when it comes to anything happening in your life:
- Use a calendar either a wipe board for your wall or one on your desk to see a physical copy of what’s ahead for the week.
- Purchase fun pens, markers, and highlighters to color code what certain days you have to have homework done, an important exam, work meeting, and more.
- Have a journal where everyday you can write down how you’re feeling, what is happening in your life, and overall your mood or mindset on your day. This can help you see overtime your growth, and how you overcame certain situations or tough moments in your week.
- Go to coffee shops or small stores where you can get out of the house to get work done and not always be in the same environment. This gives you motivation being outside the comfort of your house and it’s also fun to get out every once in a while. This can even be a routine you do every Friday or in the middle of the week.
Finding A Balance Between Personal Life & Work

Having a good balance with not just work but also your personal life, making sure you’re putting yourself first, and taking care of your mental health are all things we need to put in place everyday. It can be hard to be so overwhelmed with work that you just forget about everything else, but the more you practice having a balance and routine for when and how to do things, you will find everything becomes slowly easier each day.
Ways to find a balance for perfecting this is by time blocking. When you cut out certain times each day to do certain tasks that pertain to work, you are going to be used to only doing work during those certain hours. For example, if you work a 9-5, you are going to only have those hours during the day to focus on your work and get your tasks done. But as soon as that laptop shuts down or you head home from the office do something that pertains to yourself and some self-care. Maybe run a hot bath, read a book, clean with fun music, and more things that make you feel good.
If your friends are making plans to get together and you haven’t been out the house in a few days, why not take the time to be with them and have some fun. If you want to stay home and have a night to yourself, that is something that’s also a great option. Anything that requires you to just relax and not stress, should always be a priority with a healthy balance of course.
Making Goals & Accomplishing Them

The importance of setting goals for yourself whether it’s weekly, monthly, or daily goals is so important and no one understands truly how powerful it can be to accomplishing anything you want to ever achieve in life. Before writing down monthly goals I want to achieve, I would just work away and have the same routine every single day. It would be waking up early, going to school, coming home to eat, doing homework then going to sleep. I had nothing going for myself with what I wanted to do for my future and I was doing nothing to work on how I can improve myself. That was the first wrong move I did.
Grab a journal and make some bullet points for things you want to do this month. Make them achievable of course, and realistic. If you have a blog, you can set a certain amount of views you want to hit within the following month. If you are a online content creator and you want to make a certain amount of money the following month, what can you do this month to work towards getting that financial goal. Maybe you want to save a certain amount of money next month. What can you do this month to work towards spending less in a smart way while also saving? It’s all things that should be kept in mind and when you are working towards goals that are realistic, it’s fun to see yourself checking off the list of what you were able to do and it gives you something though out the day, month, or week to look forward to.
Pushing Away Negative Energy & Staying Positive

Letting negativity or bad thoughts get to us is something that everyone is guilty of. It is 100% normal to have bad days or regret things we did but the past is in the past and we can’t change that. If someone hurt you, if someone said something mean, if you spilled your coffee on the floor and now you hate yourself, let go of it all and focus on the positive and what’s to come within the future. That can even be 10 minutes from now. It doesn’t matter but as long as you’re letting go of what has already happened and trying to make the most of what’s to come, you are on the way to a positive, fun, and happy life that is going to be fulfilling.
Letting go of certain people in your life too is another way to truly let that negative energy go away. Remove people on social media you don’t want to see anymore, unfollow those that make you question your life and that you’re not doing enough or simply cut off toxic energy in your life that isn’t serving you anything good. We have to remember that we are in control of our life and we can be in charge of who comes in and who comes out. We can’t be in control of their actions but we can for sure let go of anything that isn’t benefiting or serving us in a way to move upward in life and to where you want to be.
Put Yourself First & The Importance of Routines

Establish a fun morning or night routine that you an always look forward to. Go out and buy some skincare products or have a night routine where you genuinely love getting ready to lay down in your bed and relax. Maybe every night you can watch a new movie and then head to sleep to take on the day.
The importance of routines is so get your mind, body and soul in the habit of knowing what you are going to do during certain points of the day. Maybe you want to go to sleep by 9 pm everyday so your body knows by 7:30 pm you have to start getting ready for bed. Maybe you want to be awake by 7:30 am so your body knows you have to be asleep by 9 pm. Having this routine set down and making sure you stick to it can create organization within your life too.
Anything you want to do to romanticize your life should be taken advantage of because we are only here for so long and truly deserve to live the best life we want. It doesn’t matter what stage in life you are, how old you are, how much money you have and where you live. You can get to where you want to be and you can accomplish anything.
