- Tell our readers about yourself in a few words! Maybe a hobby you currently do, a show you’re watching, or anything you might say when you meet someone new!
- Hi! We are Leore and Karen! Two sisters who started The Ceremony Club together. We were both born and raised in Los Angeles and take a lot of inspiration from the vintage hollywood scene. Leore went to the design school FIDM and Karen went to USC and studied PR so you could say we are a perfect match!
- Karen: Hi, I’m Karen! I love to explore the city in my free time to get inspired! My breakfast fixation at the moment is scrambled eggs and toast with butter and jam!
- Leore: Hi! I’m Leore! I have always loved art and get inspiration from art museums and traveling. When I’m not working I’m either playing tennis or driving around LA finding new restaurants!
- Since our blog is called Glamour and Guide, what is your favorite beauty secret or go-to beauty brands — whether it’s clothes, jewelry, makeup, skincare, etc.?
- Karen: My recent beauty secret is if you ever need to reapply blush throughout the day and don’t have any. Just apply some lip liner on the back of your hand and then smear it on your cheeks and it does the work!
- Tell us about The Ceremony Club, how it began, the initial idea you had into making it a reality, hurdles you had to overcome and more!?
- Leore: My friends started getting married and the only thought I had was “if I was getting married there is nothing out there that I would be too excited about” and that is how the idea of The Ceremony Club came to life! I remember the day Karen and I were brainstorming names and we were so excited to get started that we launched the next day! It was such an exciting time and people were already getting excited about our ideas which was so fun to see so early on!
- Karen: A hurdle we had to overcome is not getting attached to all of our ideas. We always have new ideas and want to share them ASAP with the world! We learned that we have to be strategic with our ideas and understand which ones to prioritize and which ones to let go.

- How do you get inspiration for merchandise and keep your customers excited for more? What has been your customers’ favorite product from The Ceremony Club?
- Leore: We launch really unique items for weddings such as custom pizza boxes and the wedding newspaper! We try to step away from the wedding space for inspiration and bring in the vibe you see in fashion brands into what we design.
- Karen: It definitely has been our “Wifey” collection and “Howdy Partner” Hat! We noticed that the brides love how timeless the wifey sweatshirts are and how they are a perfect gift to anyone who just got engaged or their wedding is around the corner! Also, our howdy partner went viral because it’s unisex and doesn’t look like wedding merch.

- Is there a character from any movie or show that you’d love to meet? Why this person?
- Leore: haha no clue! I need to think about this one.
- Karen: no clue
- What is your biggest accomplishment that you’re proud of recently? It can be in your personal life, job or anything!
- Leore: So many things :’) It is so rewarding being able to build a brand with my sister!
- Karen: One of the biggest accomplishments is receiving so much love on our social media about our brand. Leore and I created a business and started to put out all of our ideas and it’s so rewarding to hear that people love what we do!
- Aside from The Ceremony Club and being a founder, what are some of your favorite hobbies? Is there a secret talent or anything people may not know about you?
- Leore: I love painting and playing tennis! Painting is such a fun way for me to relax and get creative outside of work.
- Karen: Everyday before work I take my dog on a walk for an hour and listen to a podcast and it really makes a positive difference in my day. I noticed the day when I jump straight into my emails and calls I get overwhelmed faster. Having that walk in my morning routine really lets me set the tone for the day.
- Being a business owner can sound super glamorous but obviously it is hard work and much more happens behind the scenes than from what we see online. What is something about being a founder that many people may not know?
- Leore: It’s hard sometimes working with so many different characters. Everyone has such different expectations from you so figuring people out and adjusting yourself to those characters can be challenging at times.
- Karen: Not everything goes your way and it’s really important to pivot. Being stuck on a concept and it not happening can be very frustrating but it’s so important to understand it’s not going to go your way and learn how to move forward.
- What is your vision for yourself, your life, and your future?
- EXPANDING THE CEREMONY CLUB! We are going to hit our two year anniversary in February and I would love to create more products and just grow in general as a business! Maybe we create an actual club?
