The beginning of a new month is the best time to reset your intentions, update your goals and reflect on the past month. You get to see what worked, what didn’t, and how you can move forward. With November already here and the end of the year quickly approach, now is the perfect time to grab your journal and start this month right.
Below, we’ve collected some journal prompts from Pinterest which are great to help give you a head start whether you’re new to journaling or you’ve been doing it for a while. It’s always nice to have some prompts to help get your brain inspired again.
1. Coming Back to Yourself
Before we know it, it will be the the start of another new month so start from the beginning and come back to yourself. Break down your days and figure out if you did anything to truly connect with your inner self. Think about what you did today to learn more about yourself. Figure out how you can begin to honor your emotions as they are happening and set your intentions for tomorrow to start everyday on a great foot.

2. Monthly Reset Prompts
There is something so refreshing about a reset with your routine, looking at where your energy has been going and even seeing where you can protect your peace more. Every month we have the chance to look at the previous month, reflect and decide what we want to change, continue or improve. So use the prompts below to audit your past month and decide what energy you will bring into this new month ahead!

3. Reset Energy Prompts
Let’s take it back to more about intentions, energy and your to-do list. We all know we have a never ending to-do list with things that keep coming from every month and now we’re in too deep to get any of those things done. Instead of continuing to pile on this list, break it down into realistic tasks for yourself and try to get this done in this new month ahead. What new habits do you need to establish to get these things done, what mindset do you need to begin to tap into and what do you want to feel more of this month? Ask yourself these questions and begin.

4. New Lessons Ahead
The beauty of new months mean that you can accomplish more, release things that have been bottled up and learn new lessons! Every day we learn something new whether we realize it or not. Take these tiny lessons and start establishing it into your daily routine. Over the summer, I read The 5 am Club and started waking up at 5 am. I challenged myself into waking up at 5 am consistently and I now have built this lesson into a weekly habit. Do this with your own life and see how far you can go.

5. Set the Tone
To close off your new monthly goals, it’s time to think about the tone you want to set. Mindset is everything. How you think and how you do anything, is how you do everything. Are there little ways you can bring joy back into your life? How can you make every day fun and enjoyable? What helps you recharge your energy whether it’s seeing your friends, trying a new coffee shop to work from or reading a new book? Set this tone.
