With all the trends this summer from fruits as your new outfit accessory and Chanel Birkenstock sandals, to heeled flip flops and now the Nike tennis skirt which is taking over the feed of fashion Instagram Influencers. You don’t even need to know how to play tennis which is the best part of this trend. All you need is a tennis racquet, some balls, a tennis court, and the best part….a cute outfit which you aren’t even going to play in. I am definitely guilty of wanting to try to shoot a picture in this before summer ends. One of my favorite things about this look is how preppy it is with just the touch of throwing a sweater over your shoulder.

The Top and Outfit
When looking for the perfect top or outfit to prepare for the tennis “look”, it is a lot simpler than you think. If you’re going for a much more comfy feel, then you can opt for the sweatsuit outfit. This would consist of a matching sweatshirt and sweat shorts outfit. For a hot summer day or an insta shoot, all you need to do is go to your closet and grab one of your bikini tops or a halter top. These not only pair so easily with the skirt, but look so chic and are perfect to beat the heat.
The Skirt
The most important part of the entire look to tie everything together is your skirt. As of right now, the Nike Tennis skirt is definitely trending and is very popular, but all you really need is a pleated skirt. There are so many stores right now that are selling these for half of what Nike does but it still gives you the same look for an affordable price. Even if you aren’t going to play and just want to have a comfy piece, I’d still recommend getting this skirt and it is a great staple for your wardrobe when going for a preppy look.
The Equipment
There would be no tennis without the tennis equipment such as the balls and the racquets. A couple weeks ago, Kylie Jenner posted her tennis pictures with her daughter Stormi and had the internet looking for a Chanel racquet with the matching balls. She also did a tennis shoot for her Turks and Caicos trip with her bestie Stassi which is another one of her Chanel looks. It is pretty safe to say that this is going to be a trend for many years to come.
The Court
Without being on the court, you can’t give off the complete tennis fashion look. About two weeks ago, Madison Beer even posted her sitting pretty on the court pic as well. You seriously don’t even need to play to achieve a cute look. From a grassy court to a concrete court, no matter where you “play” or “shoot” the perfect angle, make sure you have all your equipment ready for that shot.
